Having played schoolboy cricket at the highest possible level (including a much talked about appearance at Lords), the pinnacle of his cricketing career was taking the Maladroit ‘bowler of the year’ trophy in 2004.

Since 2004, his critics have claimed that the Patman’s pace has progressively got slower and slower, blaming his reduced run-up and off the field socialising. Nevertheless, it will take a lot more for him to loose his status as opening bowler.
