Edward Lock

Originally a part time member of the Maladroits squad, Ed has progressed into a more committed cricketer over the past couple of seasons. The benefit of this was seen last year with his first ever 50 and him often being used as 5^th, 4^th and sometimes even 3^rd change bowler. He has had his bat since 1995 so it’s nice to see it finally made some runs. The Gray-Nicolls Power Spot has since retired. Ed’s profile wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his commitment in the field. Despite his handicap of running with a chicken up is arse and somebody having to ‘go half way’ if a throw comes in from the boundary Ed is always willing to chase a ball down in the outfield, although I have never seen him anywhere near a ball in the air, I am sure he would catch it with usual arrogance. Ever the gentleman, Ed has established himself as a regular member of the squad.
